You can now rent BIXI bikes with your OPUS card
BIXI users can now rent bikes with their OPUS public transit cards at 540 stations across the province. The Société de transport de Montréal announced the new service on July 6 during a press conference held at the Papineau metro station.
You must register your OPUS card on the BIXI website and create a security code to enter at BIXI pay stations. You must also create an account and provide your credit card information in order to pay for bike rides, which will still cost $2.95 for 30-minute trips or less.
The new feature is available at the following transit services: STM, Réseau de transport métropolitain, Réseau de transport de la Capitale, Société de transport de Levis, Réseau de transport de Longueuil, and the Société de transport de Laval.
