Some elements of parenting just don’t come as naturally as one might expect. From breastfeeding challenges to parenting disputes, The Learning Family offers a number of classes to help ease your way into parenthood and beyond. On October 20 and 21, it is offering a weekend workshop on how to get through your labour and deal with postpartum care.

There are also workshops by lactation consultants about learning how to breastfeed and an eight-week mothers’ support group that discusses topics such as parenting, body image, breastfeeding and more. Also, a six-week parenting workshop called How to Talk so Kids Will Listen, and Listen so Kids will Talk will help you understand your child’s moods, avoid yelling and help you set proper boundaries.
