Workshop tackles bedtime routines
From brushing teeth, reading stories, getting a glass of water, and checking the closet for monsters, putting kids to bed can be a nightmare for many parents. On Feb. 10, the Eleanor London Cote St. Luc Public Library invites parents to join Pediatrician Dr. Shirley Blaichman as she explains the fundamentals of sleep in young children from infancy to preschool.
The Children’s Sleep 101 Workshop will offer participants strategies on how to deal with their children’s bedtime blues. Blaichman will be going over the best practices, habits and routines that can help both children and parents. Parents are welcome to ask questions.
Blaichman will discuss the problems parents face when young children resist bedtimes or wake up sporadically during the night. The English workshop will take place at 7 p.m. at 5851 Cavendish Blvd. It is free but you must register in advance by calling 514-485-6900 ext. 4111.
