Workshop about packing healthy lunches
It’s back-to-school season, which also means its lunchbox season. As a kid that grew up eating sandwiches nearly everyday of my young life, I can attest to the fact that those kids who came to school with new and interesting meals, were the envy of the cafeteria.
However, it’s not always easy to get out of that standard bologna or egg sandwich trap. Sometimes it takes inspiration, as well as a couple tips and tricks, to master the art of the perfect lunch box meal.
So, if you’re looking for a little help, you may want to attend a free nutrition workshop with a focus on back-to-school food that will be held at Marché Pierrefonds’s Provigo on Sept. 9. During the one and a half hour workshop, a dietician will go over the essentials of a healthy lunchbox, provide time-saving tips on how to pack lunch and give you strategies for managing picky eaters. Moreover, there will be a guided nutrition-focused store tour, nutritious snacks samplings, and should you want to bring your kid along, a scavenger hunt for kids.
The workshop takes places from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Be sure to reserve in advance as space is limited. To register, 514-624-6369 ext. 130 or email Ecoleculinairepc.firstname.lastname@example.org
