On Saturday, December 7, movie lovers are invited to a Cineplex theatre for a morning of festive fun and holiday movies, all for a good cause.
The ninth annual Community Day event will be showing a multitude of family-friendly holiday movies, from cherished classics to new favourites. Movie goers of all ages can enjoy A Christmas Story, Elf, Gremlins, The Polar Express, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, all for free.
There will be concession items available, such as popcorn, soft drinks and candy, for $2.50 each, and proceeds from donations and concession sales will go to supporting Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.
The doors open at 9 a.m., and tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Showtimes kick off at 9:30 a.m. and the theatres’ regular programming will return in the afternoon. Movies will be shown in both English and French.
