Volunteer fair showcases opportunities to help out

Various organizations from N.D.G. and Montreal West will be on hand

With so many worthwhile causes, it can be tricky to decide where to dedicate your volunteer time. On April 10, the NDG/Montreal West Volunteer Recruitment Committee will be holding a fair to inform parents and children alike on the different ways they can give back to their community.

Approximately a dozen groups will be on hand to talk about various opportunities from working with the elderly to helping out at community centres. Some of the organizations include the New Hope Senior Citizens Centre, the West-Central Montreal Health CSSS Cavendish, the NDG Community Council and Bienvenue NDG, a centre that works with newly arrived immigrants in the community.

The fair takes place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Centre Sportif de Notre Dame de Grâce, 6445 Monkland Ave.
