Montreal Families

Visit Santa's home in Val-David

When he's not busy delivering presents to children around the world, Santa Claus lives in Quebec – about an hour north-west of Montreal. It's true!

Santa's Village in Val-David, often visited by families in the summer, also offers a bevy of winter activities. The swimming pool is transformed into a skating rink, the stage where magicians perform turns into a snowy slope perfect for tubing, and families can get a taste of dog-sledding on snow scooters – where mom and dad can be the huskies and push their children along snowy paths. There's also a climbing wall and a zip line, plus animals to pet and feed. Families will find heated sitting areas just right for an outdoor picnic or food can be purchased onsite. Best of all, Santa is on hand to speak with families every day. Santa's Village is open on Dec. 10 and 11, 2011 and then from Dec. 17, 2011 to January 8, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Christmas Day).

The village is located at 987 Morin St., Val-David. For more information, call (800) 287-6635. For discount coupons, a site-map and directions, visit www.noel.qc.ca/en.
