Vaudreuil splash pad a musical wonder
Hot sunny days, cool water, and kids zinging with energy add up to the perfect equation for summer fun. Besides backyard sprinklers and municipal pools, there are other options where you can find a welcoming oasis from the heat.
In Vaudreuil-Dorion, Parc-école des Quatre-Saisons (formerly Toe-Blake Park) will delight youngsters with its combination of water sprays, jets, and a sensory play experience that includes musical instruments! The creative and ultra-fun splash pad sits atop a brightly-painted surface that will invite kids to dance from one sprayer to the next. Step under the tipping buckets for a fast soak, or let the trio of funky “musicians” cool you down as you boogie underneath.
The water sequence starts as soon as the Maestro Activator button is touched. Stomp your way through a musical medley on the giant piano keys where different notes are played as each of the seven ground sprays are covered.
For toddlers who don’t love getting their faces wet, there are some gentle sprays where they can play and manipulate the water.
The public splash pad is open to everyone throughout the summer. Depending on the weather, the water typically stays on until early September.
Close to the splash pad are picnic tables, benches, and some grassy space to spread out towels. Shade is limited. Note that there is no public playground at this park, it is just the splash pad.
