Valentine’s Day event supports kids in need

Fundraiser supported by P.K. Subban promises to be a gala night of good food and music all for a great cause

Instead of your usual bouquets of flowers and boxes of chocolates, why not celebrate Valentine’s Day a little differently this year?

On Feb.8, the Canadian Hellenic Educational Progressive Association will be hosting a Saint Valentine’s Day Ball in support of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. The event will be held in partnership with the P.K. Subban Foundation, which will match any donations made that evening. The Montreal chapter of this organization supports several children’s organizations and causes across the city and has raised more than $900,000 through this annual event.

This year marks the gala’s 20th edition and will be MC’d by radio host and television personality Elias Makos. Guests will be treated to a cocktail hour with wood-fired pizza and appetizers, live entertainment by the Sophistoccasion Showband and a five-course meal.

The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $175 for adults and $140 for attendees under 25. For more information, click here.
