Unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes at the Science Centre

In a new interactive exhibit at the Montreal Science Centre, mystery buffs can uncover clues and conduct lab tests to solve a crime scene.

Based on the American television franchise, CSI: The Experience explores the intricate world of forensic science. In the exhibit, visitors go through the motions of three murder investigations to find the guilty culprits by dusting for fingerprints, analyzing the victims and conducting DNA tests.

Would-be detectives are given a pad of paper and pencils to take notes and record their findings. Throughout the exhibit, visitors will input their data and crime scene reports into computers to make sure they are on the right track. After gathering all their evidence, visitors will come up with a final hypothesis to see if they’ve correctly solved the case.

Younger kids are welcome with their parents, but the development and production manager Cybèle Robichaud says the exhibit is geared more towards visitors over the age of 12 due to the nature of the content.

CSI: The Experience debuted in early April and continues until Sept. 4. Tickets cost $23 for general admission, $18 for teens and $12.50 for children. For more information, visit montrealsciencecentre.com.
