This Just In: Harry and Horsie reading at Babar en Ville
A newly released children’s book called Harry and Horsie has both a Montreal connection and a David Letterman connection.
The story is about a boy called Harry, who likes to play with his Super Duper Bubble Blooper when he can’t get to sleep (sound familiar?). But one night, one of the bubbles floats into space carrying his best friend, Horsie. Harry goes on a spage-age mission to rescue his buddy, captured in fun, retro-style illustrations by Lincoln Agnew.
The book was written by Katie Van Camp, who once worked as an au pair for David Letterman. She originally wrote the story as a gift for Letterman’s son, Harry, and it evolved into a book. Part of the proceeds from the book go to Free the Children. Van Camp, originally from Ontario, now divides her time between New York and Montreal.
