In an effort to keep kids physically active, Sun Youth is offering free outdoor activities for kids in parks around Montreal during the months of February and March.
The pandemic has caused a surge in mental health issues and the non-profit community organization wants to help out by hosting a winter caravan with a variety of sporting options. Geared to kids 6-12, the activities include:
Artistic design (painting in the snow)
Hockey (must supply your own helmet and stick)
Winter Olympics (sprints, snow high jumps, long jumps etc.)
Dates, times and park locations
The aim is to ensure a safe environment where children can play and interact with each other to help bring back a sense of normal. All activities will be operated by Sun Youth volunteers and staff. Activities will be available based on the number of interested participants.
