Start spreading the news: New York City dance instructor visiting Montreal with StarDanzNYC
Back in July 2013, Maureen Brown, a dance instructor from The Big Apple, worked with a group of Montrealers during a week-long dance workshop. She was so amazed by the passion and talent of these young dancers that she decided to move her lessons to their home town, so that she could work with them again.
With the help of Mary DeSantis, Brown will host the StarDanzNYC Dance Convention. This two-day gathering will offer classes in many different dance genres, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, acro and broadway musical theatre.
“It is my goal that all dancers to leave the StardanzNYC Convention be refreshed and rejuvenated,” Brown explains on the StarDanzNYC website. “I want them to leave StarDanzNYC Dance Convention with a tremendous sense of accomplishment.”
The convention will be taking place on Nov. 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration costs $175 plus tax for dancers who sign up before Sept. 1 ($195 plus tax after that) and $25 for observers before Sept. 1 ($35 plus tax after that). The convention will be taking place at the Holiday Inn in Pointe Claire.
