The reviews aren’t out yet, but the animated children’s movie How to Train Your Dragon looks like a fun one. With a Viking/dragon/adventure theme, it may also be a great reason for dad to take the kids out solo while mom enjoys an opportunity to fly to Vegas go out for a coffee.

Plus, there will be a familiar voice in the film: Montreal native Jay Baruchel plays one of the main characters, along with America Ferrera and Gerard Butler.

What age does it target?
Based on a Common Sense Media preview, the movie is said to be for ages 7 and up – especially given that all the action will be in 3-D and could be scary for younger kids. How to Train Your Dragon opens Friday, March 26. Check Cinema Montreal for theatres and times.
