Should You Take the Kids to: CIBC Run for the Cure Montreal 2010

The CIBC Run for the Cure, an annual fundraiser for breast cancer research, offers some family-friendly features for those who want to participate with children. The 5K run/walk will be held in Maisonneuve Park Sunday Oct. 3, with activities like a mini train, face-painting and a mascot. Plus, of course, a festive atmosphere with music, balloons and lots of people. There will be free food for participants (including fruit, granola bars and bagels) at the park.

You can register in advance online or in person on Sunday. Registration costs $40 for adults (or free if you raise $150 in sponsorship). Children of registered adults can participate for free. If they want to receive a T-shirt, they pay the adult registration cost ($40 or raise $60 in sponsorship). Tax receipts are issued for funds raised.
