Sheila Parkins Academy of Dance and Music is a West Island institution that has taught more than 10,000 dance students since it opened in 1981, and beginning this fall, students can twirl the hours away in a second location, Ville St. Laurent’s École Bilingue Notre-Dame de Sion.
“A lot of our clients found driving to the West Island to be a bit of a trek,” explains school co-director Jennifer Lowsky. “From what they were telling us, there wasn’t anything like it offered in the St. Laurent area.”
The new location will offer a ballet/tap combo class, a jazz class and a hip-hop class to children ages 4 to 10.
The new studio is located at 1775 Decarie Blvd. in St. Laurent (École Bilingue Notre-Dame de Sion).
