Place des Arts is hosting spring break activities
The list of activities to do with your kids during spring break just got a little bit longer, thanks to Place des Arts, which will be hosting a plethora of events, mostly free, throughout the week.
Most of the activities will be taking place every day from March 4 to 7. For example, Le Trésor (The Treasure), a puppet, dance and music show, will be playing at the Cinquième salle. It tells the story of a brother, sister and their cat, who are stuck in the house on a rainy day. As boredom kicks in, the search for some fun leads to the joy and freedom and spontaneity of play, and the bond kids have with their pets. The show is at 2 p.m. from March 4 to 7, and tickets cost $20.
The rest of the week’s activities are free. They include: a treasure hunt, where kids must find the hidden treasures throughout the venue, a Bibli-Arts lounge, where kids can take the time to read books about the performing arts, and make-believe storytime, where the kids can make up a collective story using poetic images and objects. Each event takes place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m, from March 4 to 7.
There will also be a dance workshop where you and your kids can learn choreography based on The Treasure show. This event happens every hour from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. from March 4 to 7.
