The first weekend of November is going to the dogs – really. The United Kennel Club will hold its Championship Annual Montreal Dog Show on Friday, Nov. 2 to Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
Organizers are expecting about 700 dogs representing close to 100 breeds to take part in judging, obedience and rally trials. Breeders will be available to answer questions about the temperament and health of various breeds for anyone thinking about adding a pet to their family and there will be booths offering services, supplies, crafts and gifts for dogs and their owners. MIRA Foundation will be on site to demonstrate how their dogs work with blind and disabled people.
The show takes place at Place Bonaventure, 800 de la Gauchetière W., Level 400 West and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, $5 for children 5 to 11, and free for those under 5.
