Obstacle course race focuses on foam and fun

The 5K Foam Fest features obstacle courses, inflatables, slip and slides and more

It’s an obstacle course designed for those who are more interested in having a good time than winning – the 5K Foam Fest is returning to the Montreal area this year.

The course is designed to make the obstacles fun, not overly physically demanding. Every participant gets a medal, beach towel and a Chapman’s Sports Lolly Popsicle included with registration.

In addition to the 71,000 cubic metres (2.5 million cubic feet) of foam pumped onto the course, there are more than 22 obstacles including adult-sized inflatables, mud pits and slip and slides, as well as plenty of things to crawl over, under and through. There will also be a children’s fun zone and an area where participants can jump from six metres off the ground into an inflatable air bag. Food and drink vendors will be on-site.

The 5K Foam Fest takes place in Mont St. Bruno Saturday, Sept. 3 and Mont St. Sauveur Saturday, Sept. 17. The event is open to those 8-years-old and up, but kids 8 to 12 must be accompanied by a guardian. Registration is now open and the price starts at $42 per individual. The cost will increase as registration nears capacity.

Families (two adults, and up to three children) can receive a rate of $200 if they email info@5kfoamfest.ca.
