Women who want their dollars to support good causes won’t want to miss the Shopping From The Heart event, held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 7: 30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 34 34th Ave., Lachine.

Some 20 vendors will be selling goods and services such as jewelry. cosmetics, fitness training and photography. The event is organized by Montreal mom and entrepreneur Julia Chiarella-Genoni, who wants to give local businesswomen a chance to showcase their services and products.

Raffle proceeds from the event will go to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Lakeshore Hospital Maternity Ward and the Royal Victoria Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

In addition to browsing the booths and tables, visitors can buy raffle tickets to win several different prizes, including children’s toys, restaurant gift cards, books and DVDs. Raffle tickets cost $2 for 1, $8 for 5 or $15 for 20.
