New mini-golf opens in St. Sauveur
Mont St. Sauveur Water Park in the Laurentians recently introduced a new addition to its growing roster of outdoor activities. Located beside the water park, the new 18-hole mini-golf course has varying degrees of difficulty.
Patricia Bergeron, the park’s communications officer, says the course represents “nature at its best” with flowers, plants, cascading waterfalls and large rocks. Some of the other activities at the park include an alpine roller coaster, a zip line and rides for young children.
Bergeron says they have been making an effort to have more “dry” activities over the past few years in order to cater to those visitors who don’t enjoy getting wet.
“We spent a long time thinking about what should come next for the park; after looking at numerous activities throughout Canada and the U.S., we saw how mini-golf courses in Tennessee and Florida were hugely successful,” Bergeron says. “We decided a mini-golf course would be a great addition to our mountain. And no other course of this scale exists in our beautiful Laurentian region.”
At present, the park is slated to stay open weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Oct. 16. Mini-golf costs $10.99 for adults, $7.99 for children under 12, and is free for kids under 5. For more information, visit parcaquatique.com
