A new arts studio called 4Cats is opening this fall in Kirkland. Children ages 2 to 15 will be able to explore a wide-range of techniques from clay and paper maché to splatter painting and stop motion animation. Originally started in Vancouver, 4Cats also offers “artist of the month” sessions where students learn about a famous artist and then make artwork in that genre. As well, the studio will be offering birthday parties, mom’s night out events and workshops for businesses.

The centre’s fall session begins on September 10. Classes are $190 (materials included). There will also be weekday programs for ages 5 and under as well as for home-schooled students.
