Granby Zoo has expanded its Amazoo water park just in time for the hottest months of the year. The $3 million investment will allow visitors to make their way down three new larger-than-life Amazonian slides on inflatable tubes. For those not afraid of a little darkness, try the completely enclosed Anaconda slide. The Piranha slide features a giant bowl for a whirlwind spin, while the Ara slide includes both open air and closed off sections —the slides all begin from a 15-metre take-off point.
The water park features a revamped Adventure River with swings, water dumping buckets, tunnels and a lost island – all to discover as you float down the river.
Regular admission for one day costs $38.95, kids ages 3 to 12 pay $25.95 and kids under the age of 2 get in free. Locker rental is $4.99. Granby Zoo is located at 1050 David Bouchard N Blvd., Granby in the Eastern Townships.
