Music & arts festival includes fun just for kids
Known for bringing an eclectic mix of popular international and local music acts to play in venues across the city, the POP Montreal music festival has made a name for itself in its 10-plus years of existence. The kid friendly aspect is called Kids POP and it offers various workshops.
This year, a Kids POP Crawl will have children use a map to guide them to different locations where they’ll be introduced to circus performance, get temporary tattoos, create their own festival access passes and more. All the venues are within walking distance from each other and each activity lasts about 15 minutes.
There will also be a film workshop where kids will learn about stop-frame animation, as well as an event that features live music, karaoke, crafts and more. The activities are free but registration is required for the film animation activity.
Kids POP events will be held Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20 at various locations in Plateau-Mont Royal.
