Movie showing for kids with autism

With the aim of improving the quality of life of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, the First Annual Montreal Autism in Motion Conference and Exhibit is proud to host Movies 4 Me Too!, a private movie viewing experience at Cinema Guzzo in St. Laurent. So, on Sunday, July 1, 2012, Madagascar 3 will be showed at 10 a.m. for kids with autism. The volume will be lowered and the lights turned up slightly to address any sensory issues. No previews will be featured and kids will be able to move around and talk freely. The movie theatre can be an unwelcoming environment for children with autism, especially those that have sensory difficulties. For many parents, this will be the first they can go to a movie without being concerned about how their child will act in such a setting. Movie tickets are $8.50 and can be purchased by clicking here.
