Mont Sutton opens new attraction
Mont Sutton in the Eastern Townships is known for its amazing skiing and gorgeous views. Later this summer, it will unveil a new activity for the thrill-seekers in the family.
Adventure all summer long
Treat the kids — or your inner child — to a high-adrenaline adventure through the towering trees on the side of the ski hill.
Seated in a safety harness, visitors will race along the new zipline coaster over a distance of 700 metres. Part roller coaster ride, part zipline, the coaster travels through the trees in turns and swirls, with spirals up to 450 degrees, and an exhilarating drop that dips five-metres in just 12 metres. Wheee!
The attraction is the newest outdoor activity at Sutton, which last year inaugurated its giant one-kilometre-long zipline, the most inclined in Canada and the longest in the Eastern Townships.
Open year-round, adventure enthusiasts can also experience mountain biking over a network of 44 kilometres of cross-country and enduro trails, enjoy a camping stay at the summit, try your aim at the new disc golf course, and see the views aboard the chairlift ride which brings pedestrians 680m metres up the mountain.
For a tasty break, visit the Cube-Ik outdoor restaurant located at the foot of the bike trails.
