Montreal Families

Massive LEGO event coming to town

Kids who love LEGO are in for a treat this August. The LEGO Imagine Nation Tour (the country’s largest building event) will be in Montreal at the Palais des Congrѐs from Aug. 12 to the 14.

There will be 13 pavilions and 20 life-sized LEGO models as well as a meet and greet with a master builder and a chance for kids to perfect their craft.

At Creation Nation, builders are asked to create a model that can be used to form a 40-foot maple leaf mosaic. In the Bridge Build Challenge, participants will compete in teams to design and build a bridge. At the Brick Pit, builders can use their imaginations to create a one-of-a-kind model. In the Digitally Enhanced Building Pavilions and Model Display Areas, participants can build models from several different themes.

In LEGO City, builders will create a police car that can chase down a group of bank robbers. At the Dragon Adventure, kids will build a magical portal to reach Elandra, Queen of Dragons and save her from the Evil Elf Witch. At the Heartland City Puppy Caper, children will build a house, cafe or shop. Children can also build Rebel fighter ships, build a custom dojo, enter the NEXO Knights academy and create a customized Minecraft shelter.

Participants can also try out the latest video games from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Tickets are $28.50 and can be bought online. For more information, visit legoimaginationtour.com.
