Longueuil pulls out all the stops to get families into the holiday spirit with its annual Christmas “market”.
Throughout the month of December, St. Mark Park in Longueuil will have several free family activities. Children ages 5 and up can enjoy storytelling, dance shows, demonstrations and choral singers. The rest of the family can watch artisans creating ice sculptures and Christmas candles. A number of items will also be for sale, including Christmas tree accessories, chocolate, jewelry and more.
It will take place every Saturday and Sunday from Dec. 1 to 23, 2012 and Fridays Dec. 14 and 21, 2012. St. Mark Park is located on St. Charles St. West between St. Jean and St. Sylvestre Streets. Admission and activities are free. Hours are Fridays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
