Couples who have children together and then separate or divorce often face an uncomfortable situation: they are no longer romantic partners but must communicate effectively about their children, despite all the anger, sadness and confusion.
To help families better handle this problem, the Montreal General Psychology Clinic is hosting a free talk on co-parenting and mediation on September 17, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Family mediator and social worker Suzanne Cizmar, along with Joseph-Etienne Fodor, will look at how separated parents can learn good communication skills. There will also be a discussion about the practical aspects of separation, such as finances and custody, and how mediators can help couples through this difficult time.
The talk will take place at the Montreal General Hospital, Livingstone Hall, 6th floor, Montreal.
