Families can learn more about the West Island YMCA’s after-school programs for young people ages 12-17 at an Open House on November 11, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Learn about the Y’s De-Zone drop-in centre, which offers homework help (led by retired teachers and student volunteers) as well as boxing, cooking classes and many other activities. As well, there will be a presentation on the Diversions program, which offers workshops and activities with a focus on building social skills.
