LCC gets IB diploma accreditation

Lower Canada College (LCC) has become the first English high school in Quebec accredited to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to students in Grades 11 and 12.

Beginning this fall, approximately 40 students will start the two-year program.

The IB philosophy emphasizes a challenging, international education. IB accredited programs aimed at younger students are offered at other schools across Quebec: the Primary Years Program at the elementary level or the Middle Years Program in high school. Students who graduate in LCC’s diploma program will be able to apply directly to universities in Quebec without attending CEGEP.
