After 45 years of serving as a popular spot for children’s birthday parties and rainy day entertainment, the Laval Recreatheque closed its doors for good this past Victoria Day.
The indoor amusement park and activity centre, located on Cure-Labelle Blvd., in Laval, boasted a large array of activities including paintball, a giant indoor playground, bumper cars, roller skating, bowling, billiards, arcades and more.
The owners cited declining revenues as a reason for closing, coupled with the increasing cost of maintaining the aging building and upgrading the equipment. They said that the building is for sale, and that its future is not yet determined.
