Laval nature park hosting Halloween fun

As the weather gets colder and the leaves change, there’s one holiday kids and families look forward to— Halloween! This October, celebrate everything creepy, crawly, and all things spooky with seasonal events at Laval’s Centre de la nature.

On weekends from October 8 to 30, 2022, the immense nature park will be decked out with ghosts and goblins for frightful fun. Activities are planned for the youngest visitors and those who crave a scare. Access to the park is free but there is a fee for some activities.

Ghost Train Ride

Everyone aboard for a tour around the park on the decorated ghost train.
October weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Departure and arrival take place at the Village des arts station.
$4 per person

Visit the Haunted House

Venture into the haunted house where horror and thrills await.
October weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Duration of the activity: five minutes
Note that the activity is not recommended for children under 10 years old, pregnant women, and people with heart or respiratory problems
Location: North Chalet
$2 per person

Inflatable Games

For those not looking for big scares, come and play in the toddler-friendly inflatable games and bouncy castles.

Entertain the whole family with a Halloween-themed treasure hunt.

Mobile Library and Storytime

Come and discover Halloween-themed books and be transported into the world of fantastic tales (with the participation of Laval libraries)​​.

Outdoor movies

As soon as night falls, come enjoy a family-friendly film, or wait for the later movie for a terrifying experience. Bring your folding chairs, blankets, and snacks!

A visit to the park isn’t complete without seeing the farm animals, wandering along the trails and ponds, and playing in the two playgrounds so make sure to block off some extra time and bring plenty of snacks or stop in at on-site resto.

Parking: There are paid parking lots on du Parc Ave. The parking lots are open to everyone on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. On weekends, and statutory holidays including the holiday season, parking lots are reserved for Laval residents (with proof of residence) from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Street parking is available surrounding the park.

Pricing: Access to the Nature Center is free, but parking, as well as some services or activities have a fee. Only cash is accepted on the site and you can find an ATM at the chalet-restaurant.

Bathroom facility: Bathrooms and drinking fountains are available in different places throughout the large 50-hectare park, and maps are available online and throughout the park to guide you.
