Montreal Families

Kids get in free at national parks

Canadian youth 17 and under are able to explore national parks for free as long as they are operated by Parks Canada. With a number of these sites within an easy drive of Montreal, why not start planning some weekend road trips! Check out this list of 13 day trips families can do from Montreal.

Discover what is new at the parks for 2021 by clicking here. Parks Canada recommends these 10 hidden gems for families to explore.

You can see the full list of Parks Canada-operated places online at pc.gc.ca/en/voyage-travel.

Adults do have to pay to access many of these sites, so frequent visitors may want to consider springing for the annual Parks Canada Discovery Pass, which costs $69.19 for one adult or $139.40 for up to seven people traveling in the same vehicle.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a reservation to visit a national park, or to camp at a national park, is required. For more information, click here
