The City of Montreal has launched its first-ever Snowman Building Contest throughout its 19 boroughs now through March 8, 2021.

Fabulous prizes up for grabs

The snow sculptures with the highest number of votes in each of the seven categories will win a prize:

  • $50 gift card for the winner in each individual category (children 3-5 years, children 6-12 years, 13 years and over, and professional)
  • $150 gift card for the winning family group
  • $250 gift card for the winning preschool group
  • and a $350 gift card for the school group winner

Gift cards must be used to purchase winter equipment (winter outerwear, winter recreational equipment such as skates, sleds, etc.)

Participants need to reside in the territory of the City of Montreal at the time of the competition. Only those in charge of preschool and school groups may live outside the territory of the City of Montreal, but the address of the preschool or school must be located in one of the 19 Montreal boroughs.

The public can vote for their favourite snow sculptures from January 5, 2020, to March 11, 2021, at 9 p.m. Enter your creations at this page, and invite your friends and family to visit and vote for their favourites. The winning works will be announced on March 12, 2021 on the City of Montreal Facebook page.
