Now a two-time Juno award nominee, Montreal-based children’s entertainer and jazz artist Jennifer Gasoi will perform a fundraising concert for Auberge Shalom pour Femmes on Sunday, April 28, 2013.
Gasoi is nominated in the Best Children’s Album category for her latest release, Throw a Penny in the Wishing Well. She was previously nominated for her first album, Songs for You. Her music blends a variety of styles including swing, blue-grass, doo-wop, gospel, kelzmer, Cajun and calypso. This year she is also a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and has been nominated for Sirius XM Indie Children’s Artist of the Year. The Juno awards will be handed out April 21.
Gasoi’s concert will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Oscar Peterson Hall, 7141 Sherbrooke St. W.
