A new addition slated to open at Valcartier Vacation Village on Dec. 2 is sure to keep the kids happy. At a cost of more than $65 million, it includes a Polynesian-themed indoor water park called Bora Park and a four-star hotel.
The 102,000 square foot water park has 14 slides, a family pool, an adventure river, a wave pool and a section for surfing. There will also be a restaurant section in the water park. General admission costs $36.95 for a full day and $26.95 for a half-day or an evening pass. Special rates apply for younger children and seniors and children under the age of 2 get in free. Storage lockers are also available for $10.
If you’re looking to make it a weekend trip, families can stay at the new Valcartier Hotel. The five-story, 153-suite hotel offers a range of amenities like an arcade and entertainment area, a sports bar, a boutique, a convenience store and a spa. There are different types of suites available including a family unit with two bedrooms that costs $179 a night during the off-season.
Along with the new hotel and indoor park, Valcartier Vacation Village also has an outdoor summer water park, a winter playground and a campground. New this season, visitors can also stay at the Ice Hotel from Jan.4 to March 26.
