Il-LUMI-nate Your Child’s Summer

There’s an exciting new bilingual day camp in central NDG opening in the Summer of 2023. Camp Lumi will offer children from ages 4 to 14 a springboard to explore their interests and develop new skills across a broad range of activities at Lower Canada College’s world-class campus just off Monkland Avenue.

Children at Camp Lumi will have a well-rounded camp experience, participating in sports, science, and arts activities, taking full advantage of LCC’s superior facilities in the heart of NDG.  LCC’s campus includes multiple athletic fields, gyms, design and innovation center, visual and fine arts facilities, music and theater spaces and kindergarten-specific areas for the littlest campers.

Founder and Camp Director Amanda Cohen was a long-time employee of Champions Day Camp during her high school and college years. After many years of working in recreation services in Montreal and Toronto, as well as at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Games and the 2015 Pan Am and ParaPan Am Games, Amanda has returned home to Montreal where she is raising a family and starting Camp Lumi.

Camp Lumi is aiming to provide a first class summer camp in French and English led by trained instructors with educational backgrounds in education, early childhood development, and physical education.  Amanda and her team are building an environment that stimulates children’s senses, expands and enlivens their interests and nurtures meaningful relationships.
