How to talk to kids with autism about sex

As children with special needs grow up, they and their families need to address questions of sex and sexuality. However, adults may feel uncertain about how to guide a young person.

Now, parents can get support and information from Stephanie Mitelman, a certified sexuality educator in Montreal who has developed a specialization in special needs and offers telephone or in-home sessions for parents. On December 2, 2011, she will be giving a training session for professionals working with young people and adults called “The ABCs of Sexuality and Autism.”

For more information about her services or to register for workshops call (514) 983-9600 or visit www.sexpressions.ca.
