Drift off to sleep to the sounds of singing flamingos and wake up in the morning to the roars of the African lion at Granby Zoo’s new summer adventure, The Zoo at Night.
Adults and children ages 7 and up can spend the night exploring the grounds with three guides and 1,000 animals from the time the site closes at the end of the day until it reopens the next morning.
Groups can choose from four safari packages: the safari adventure, safari in the bush, safari for explorers (for school groups only), or a customized safari. Each of them include a variety of amenities including continental breakfast, supper, lodgings inside an African hut, a guided tour after dark exploring the Asian and South American world in search of nocturnal animals, special contact with some animals and a day pass to the water park.
The Zoo at Night adventure is available on select days in July and August. Cost ranges from $95 per student for the school group package to $139 for the adventure package, and varies for the customized safari.
