Get into the Christmas spirit with a magical visit to Montreal’s Village de Noel in December. The volunteer-run community event will be held every weekend from Nov. 30 and Dec. 23, and will include choir performances, live music, Christmas stories, open-air movies, gourmet food tastings, face painting and seasonal crafts. There will also be a Christmas market featuring approximately 20 local artisans selling gifts, handmade jewelry, decorative objects and more.
Several special events are also planned, including a raclette party on Dec. 8, a treasure hunt and a Mexican Las Posadas event celebrating the Nativity on Dec. 16, and a special visit from Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer on Dec. 17.
The event will take place at the Place du Marché, on the corner of St. Ambroise St. and Atwater Ave. Some activities will also be held at Ste. Cunégonde on Notre Dame St. W. and Garneau Park on Monk Blvd.
