For over 38 years, Alexander Von Humboldt School in Baie D’urfé has been spreading holiday spirit with its Christmas market. On Sunday, November 25 more than 50 vendors will be selling handicrafts such as jewelry, gourmet treats, art, soap, handbags, umbrellas, chocolate, Christmas decorations, clothes, books and other products.
Free childcare will be available to allow parents to browse and shop at their leisure. If you get hungry, there will be food to sample, including German sausages, sauerkraut, potato salad, cold cuts, bread, homemade German cakes, freshly baked waffles and mulled hot wine. If you aren’t hungry during the event, you can purchase these products to bring home to the rest of the family.
In early fall, volunteer parents begin to make authentic, handmade German Christmas wreaths in all sizes and styles to sell at the bazaar. This festive market might even make you start humming that familiar song, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”…
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 216 Victoria St., Baie D’Urfé.
