Fun festivities coming to Angrignon Mall
A trip to the mall isn’t always the most fun outing for a child (or their parents), but in October, Carrefour Angrignon in LaSalle will come alive with various activities to amuse youngsters.
Yoopa is a brand that includes a French-language television station that airs shows for kids as well as a magazine and website with content for parents. To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the chain has organized a tour of Quebec, holding kid-friendly theme days in 10 malls across the province. The tour comes to LaSalle for its only stop on the island of Montreal Saturday, Oct. 24.
There will be games, face painting, goodie bags and a puppet show featuring Theo, a red-haired, freckle-faced 5-year-old boy who likes to create video reports on his many interests. Popular kids’ entertainer Annie Broccoli will also drop by to say hello and meet the kids.
The activities will take place in two main areas of the mall; the central court will have a colouring and puzzles station as well as the Theo and Annie Broccoli shows while a balloon giveaway, face painting and a riddles game will take place in the aisle that leads to the Maxi grocery store. Parents can also enter a draw for a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship for their child.
The Yoopa tour is making two other stops at malls in the Greater Montreal area, at Carrefour du Nord in St. Jerome Oct. 17 and Galeries de Terrebonne Oct. 18. On Oct. 24, the festivities run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 7077 Newman Blvd. in LaSalle.
