Families looking for a little free summertime entertainment may want to check out one of Roulotte Theatre’s productions of Hansel and Gretel, happening at parks around Montreal from June 25 to August 26.
This original adaptation of the Grimm brothers’ fairy tale is put on by recent graduates of the National Theatre school of Canada and the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montreal. All shows are family-friendly and aimed at children, incorporating puppets, music, and extra characters.
The theatre is also offering a series of free parent-child theatre workshops taking place across the city until august 17. Space is limited and reservations are required.
Both the theatre productions and the workshops are in French.
