In collaboration with Sports Montreal Inc., the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough is offering a new sports program at Beaubien Park this winter. With a goal of getting citizens moving and keeping them entertained, the free programming will include sports activities adapted for the whole family along with winter equipment rental. And to promote and encourage girls in sports, there will be special events reserved just for them.
Sports activities for all ages
Some of the initiation-to-sports are geared to certain age groups while others are open to the whole family. Each activity will be supervised by a facilitator who will teach basic skills in the different disciplines, including Spike ball, volleyball, skating, hockey, flag rugby, ultimate Frisbee, dance, yoga, running, winter walking, cardio training, Kin-Ball, and dodge ball.
Winter sports equipment that will be available at all times during opening hours includes ice skates, hockey helmets and sticks, snowshoes, and crampons.
