Tennis is a great summer activity for kids, especially when it’s played on courts that are made just for them.
This summer, the Olympic Park’s Smash Mini Tennis Centre will be open from June to October, sunrise to sundown, for free.
There are 10 kid-size tennis courts, where several activities will be hosted during of the summer.
This is one of the few locations offering children’s sized courts, which are designed especially to help kids between 5 and 10 learn the game with greater ease. Because the court size is proportional to the child’s size, it helps players develop an all-court game by ensuring realistic court coverage. Children develop tactics similar to the advanced ones they will apply on a full court when they get older.
Families must bring their own racquets and balls; parents are welcome to play with their kids.
The Olympic Park is located at 4141 Pierre-de-Coubertin Ave. in Montreal.
