It’s Halloween all of October at SOS Labyrinthe, an adventure maze in the Old Port. The two-kilometre route will be teeming with pumpkins, ghosts, witches and other Halloween-themed décor to mark the year’s most frightening celebration, and kids age 4 to 12 who show up in costume get in free.
Visitors to this attraction are tasked with searching out valuable, forgotten objects; but in order to find those objects they must go through a series of obstacles and solve clues and puzzles.
The attraction reopened last year after having closed for four years. Now set up at Hangar 16 at the Old Port’s Clock Tower Pier, it’s billed as the largest indoor maze in the world. If you’ve already taken the kids this year, don’t worry – they change the configuration every week, so if you choose to return, you’ll have a whole new maze to get through. The quest takes about 45 to 60 minutes to complete.
It’s open weekends and holidays from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. until Nov. 1. Tickets are $14 for teenagers 13 to 17 and $16 for adults. An adult must accompany kids 4 to 12. Special rates are available for families and groups, but the free ticket offer can’t be combined with the group rate. For more information call (514) 499-0099 or visit soslabyrinthe.com.
