On June 10, 2012, families are invited to explore some of Quebec's 23 national parks for free, as part of a day-long event that will emphasize the importance of spending time in nature. During Quebec National Parks Day, families can try various activities (some have a fee). At Oka Park near Montreal, visitors can ride on bike paths, go kayaking, take part in volleyball tournaments and enjoy a barbecue.
On the South Shore, the Mont Saint-Bruno Park will be offering a tea tasting and storytime in the great outdoors. And, at the Iles de Boucherville park, Arthur l’Aventurier, the spokesperson of the event, will share his passion for nature through song and music.
