The Boys and Girls Club of Dawson Community Centre is offering parents and children the tools to stop bullying before it begins at its free “Step it Up” Bully Prevention workshop on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013.

Youth-program coordinator Heidy Wager will lead a workshop for parents and children ages 4 to 12. Kids will watch a movie and play games that focus on conflict resolution, asking for help if they are being bullied and other activities. At their own workshop, parents will learn how to  help children who are being bullied or who are bullies through discussion and other activities.

The workshop takes place at 6 p.m. at 666 Woodland Ave., Verdun. Free babysitting will also be provided upon registration.
