Learning about history can be a hands-on experience thanks to the first ever Military Cultural Festival taking place at the Old Port from August 31 to September 3, 2012.
The four-day festival will have a myriad of activities for the whole family. Visitors will be able to sit in the cockpit of a Royal Canadian Air Force plane, watch the Canadian Forces Parachute team as they leap from planes, listen to a real cannon being fired, take part in a boat-tour, watch historical re-enactments, listen to music from the Black Watch, see war-time exhibits etc.
All activities are free, and organizers are hoping this will be an annual event. Refreshments will available on site. For more information and full programming, visit http://anarmyofculture.ca.
